CATARACT & EYE CARE SPECIALISTS

An Nguyen, MD is a Vietnamese-American Ophthalmologist born and raised in New Orleans.  He is New Orleans through and through.  After completing his undergraduate degree and earning a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Neuroscience at Tulane University, he went on to complete and earn his medical degree at Lousiana State University in New Orleans.  Dr. Nguyen continued at LSU for his internship and then completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Lousiana State University/ Ochsner Clinic Foundation program.

 

After he completed his training, Dr. Nguyen wanted to return to where he and his family grew up in New Orleans East to provide eye care to a part of the city lacking such services since Hurricane Katrina.  He aims to provide competent, quality, and comprehensive eye care to his patients in New Orleans East and the surrounding communities.

 

Outside of the office, Dr. Nguyen is an avid sports fan.  He enjoys all sports particularly football, basketball, and golf.  He loves cheering for the New Orleans Saints and also roots for the Pelicans, LSU Tigers, and Tulane Green Wave.
